Salary: GLPC Grade Point 7 £15,115 per annum pro-rated based on term time working (A discretionary Living Wage will be paid)
Hours of Work: 7.90 per week term time only.
Highbank Primary and Nursery School (Transform Multi Academy Trust) is looking for a motivated, energetic and organised individual to become part of our Mid-day supervisor team. The successful candidates will be friendly, have good communication skills as well as the ability to adapt their approach to suit the needs, age and personalities of the children.
You will be expected to show an interest in the children you are supervising helping them to develop socially and you must exhibit a calm and reassuring manner when dealing with any problems that may arise.
As a school with high expectations, we would expect you to be punctual and reliable and show a commitment to our school and children. We can also offer training where required.
A willingness to act as a first aider would be an advantage. Full training to obtain a first aid qualification will be provided.
The successful candidate will;
- Oversee/supervise children on the playground or the dining hall. Identifying any issues that develop and deal with them promptly and fairly.
- Safeguard the children. Ensuring that the free play and games the children are participating in are safe, both for them and the other children on the playground.
- Help to assist the children with organising themselves when on the playground so as to develop their social and emotional skills.
- Organise and set up lunchtimes in the dining hall and encourage the children to become independent during meals and play.
