The Transform Trust community showed respect to the Queen

We were heartened to see our trust values of respect and kindness demonstrated in every corner of school life with the passing of Queen Elizabeth II as we supported each other in the processing of this sad news. Here are some of the ways our schools reflected and expressed their feelings as the country learned about the many wonderful aspects of her family and royal life and her legacy.

Pear Tree Community Junior School

Every class made a wreath to honour the life of Queen Elizabeth II. Each child carefully decorated a flower and wrote a heartfelt message, reflecting upon her influence and legacy over the last 70 years.

Bulwell St Mary’s, South Wilford and Zaytouna

Our Religious Partnership schools shared a beautiful moment coming together for a special collective worship via Zoom. Each school shared artwork, poetry and prayers to show their gratitude and love to Queen Elizabeth II. This stunning service was incredibly moving and comforted everyone in attendance.

Lawn Primary School

Children enjoyed a treats from the kitchen as their tribute to Queen Elizabeth II with a selection of cupcakes, jam sandwiches and biscuits to encourage children and staff to enjoy a moment of reflection

Sneinton St Stephens

ITV news featured the whole-school assembly and classroom activities that took place at Sneinton St Stephen’s Primary School showing the multitude of songs, activities and prayers for Queen Elizabeth II. Sneinton’s pupils spoke about their favourite memories of Queen Elizabeth II and articulated how they felt as the country mourned and paid their respects.

Robert Shaw Primary School

All together as a whole school for the first time in three years, they reflected, remembered and celebrated the life and achievements of HM Queen Elizabeth II with a huge remembrance service in the school hall.

We are so proud of all of our schools and communities and loved the way they came together to share in this monumental moment in history.
